Tips for Talking to Your Doctor
Did you know you only have 18 seconds before a doctor waits to interrupt you? That’s the average. According to the National Institute on Aging, it pays to be organized when you go to the doctor.
Communication is critical in a good patient-physician relationship. Being prepared is key to getting all your questions answered and topics discussed.
As a result, the agency suggests you prepare with the following steps:
- Writing out a list of all concerns in the order of importance to you
- Make a list of all medications, vitamins, & supplements
- Write down all health and life changes since your last appointment
Want to have good communication with your doctor? Just follow the 3 steps above.
